About Me

My beautiful wife, Gabrielle, and I have three amazing kids, Steven III, Karis, and Ava. We live in DFW, TX (Keller) and are honored to serve on the pastoral team at Milestone Church. Here’s a little of my story if you’re interested.

I’ve had some great workplace experiences pumping yogurt at TCBY, picking music at a country radio station, hosting a local TV show, interning at McGregor Baptist (met Gabby here) and oh yeah – managing a running shoe store. When I was 18, I felt called to be a pastor but I just wasn’t sure what that would look like. God helped me with the first step, a miracle, a full-ride scholarship to attend Belmont University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion. (What!?)

After college I was still sorting it out when I worked my way on to Christian radio with a fun on-location bit called “Steve-O, On-the-Go.”  It also got me in the door to pioneer a strategy for connecting un-churched listeners (30%) with great local churches. It was a win-win, no cost, audience exchange as churches welcomed new listener guests every weekend and the station was exposed to new target audiences. We also hosted annual Pastor’s Banquets that ended up growing to be the largest cross-denominational gathering of pastors from any metro area. I loved this event.

After completing my Master’s Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, my wife and I started a non-profit organization that partnered 90.9FM KCBI and hundreds of churches through a city-wide outreach strategy. The Million Acts of Kindness Campaign impacted countless lives for eternity. I’m so grateful for the partnership with 90.9 KCBI and endorsements from Pastor Rick Warren, Dr. Tony Evans, and Zig Ziglar that made this a great success.

Then, finally, in the Fall of ’07 my wife Gabrielle and I made a career transition into our true love and calling, serving the local church. I now serve as a pastor on the executive team at Milestone Church in Keller, TX. I get to oversee our Guest Connections, Small Groups, Growth Track, First Impressions, Men’s and Pastoral Care ministries. As we follow our mission of “Reach People and Building Lives” I see that every guest or member at Milestone finds their way to biblical community through authentic relationships, and small groups. We love getting to develop and equip our leaders to carry out this vision.
